Data Protection Declaration

1. Data protection at a glance

General information

The following information supplies a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. “Personal data” is all of the data with which you can be personally identified. You can obtain extensive information about the subject of data protection from this Data Protection Declaration.

Data collection on our website

Who is responsible for the data collection on this website?

The data processing on this website is done by the website operator. You can find this party’s contact details in the imprint section of this website.

How do we collect your data?

One way in which your data is collected is by you providing that data to us. This can be, for example, data which you enter into a contact form.
Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is predominantly technical data (e.g. Internet browser, operating system or time when the page was accessed). The collection of this data is done automatically as soon as you arrive at our website.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected in order to guarantee flawless provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at all times to request free-of-charge information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your saved personal data. You also have the right to request correction, blocking or deletion of that data. For this purpose, as well as if you have any other questions regarding the subject of data protection, you can approach us at any time at the address given in the imprint. In addition, you have a right to complain to the pertinent supervisory authorities.

Moreover, you have the right in certain circumstances to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. For details in this respect, please see the section of the Data Protection Declaration entitled “Right to restrict processing”.

Analysis tools and tools of third-party providers

When visiting our website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically analysed. This is done predominantly with cookies and with so-called analysis programs. Usually your surfing behaviour is analysed anonymously; your surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or you can prevent it by not using certain tools. You can find detailed information in this respect in this Data Protection Declaration below.

You can object to this analysis. We inform you in this Data Protection Declaration about your objection options.

2. General information and obligatory information

Data protection

The operator of this website takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data-protection provisions as well as this Data Protection Declaration.

When you use this website, various pieces of personal data are collected. “Personal data” is data by which you can be personally identified. This Data Protection Declaration explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how this is done, and for what purpose.

We would like to point out that data transfer on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) might not be entirely secure. It is not possible to entirely safeguard data against access by third parties.

Information about the party responsible

The party responsible for the data processing on this website is:

Mühlhause GmbH

Auf'm Angst 9-10
D-42553 Velbert
Telephone: 02053 9804-0

Email: info@muehlhause.de

The party responsible is the natural person who or legal entity which alone or together with another party decides about the purpose and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, or similar).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data-processing actions are only possible if you have given your express consent thereto. You can revoke at any time consent which has already been granted. An informal message by email to us is sufficient for this purpose. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which was done until the revocation.

Objection right to data collection in special cases as well as to direct advertising (Article 21 of the GDPR)

If the data processing is done on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 e or f of the GDPR, you have the right at all times to file an objection to the processing of your personal data, for reasons which arise from your special situation; this applies also for any profiling based on these provisions. You can see in this Data Protection Declaration the respective legal basis on which processing is done. If you file an objection, we will no longer process the personal data pertaining to you, unless we can prove mandatory protection-worthy reasons for the processing which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves in the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection pursuant to Article 21.1 of the GDPR).

If your personal data is processed in order to execute direct advertising, then you have the right to file an objection at any time to the processing of the personal data pertaining to you for the purposes of such advertising; this also applies for profiling, insofar as this is associated with such direct advertising. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for the purpose of direct advertising (objection pursuant to Article 21.2 of the GDPR).

Right to complain to the pertinent supervisory authorities

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, the party affected is entitled to a right to complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of his or her usual place of residence, their place of work, or the location of the alleged breach. The complaint right exists irrespective of other administrative-law or judicial legal remedies.

Right to data transferability

You have the right to delivery - to you or to a third party - in a common, machine-readable format of data which we process in an automated manner on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract. Insofar as you request a direct transfer of the data to another party responsible, this is done only insofar as this is technically feasible.

SSL and TLS encryption

This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and in order to protect the transfer of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries which you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by virtue of the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “Fehler! Hyperlink-Referenz ungültig.” to “Fehler! Hyperlink-Referenz ungültig.” and a lock symbol appears in your browser bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data which you send to us cannot be read en route by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion and correction

You have the right at any time in the framework of the applicable statutory provisions to receive free-of-charge information about your saved personal data, its origin, recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and where applicable a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as if you have any other questions regarding the subject of personal data, you can approach us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

Right to restrict processing

You have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data. For this purpose, you can approach us at any time at the address given in the imprint. There is a right to restrict processing in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the correctness of your personal data saved by us, we usually need time to check this. For the duration of the checking process, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was done or is being done unlawfully, you can request restriction of the data processing rather than deletion.
  • When we no longer require your personal data, but you need it in order to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data rather than deletion.
  • If you have filed an objection pursuant to Article 21.1 of the GDPR, there must be a weighing up of your interests and our interests. Until it is certain whose interests prevail, you have the right to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the right of another natural person or legal entity or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

4. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Websites sometimes use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and contain no viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files which are deposited on your computer and which your browser saves.

Most of the cookies used by us are so-called “session cookies". They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies stay stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser when you next visit.

You can configure your browser in such a way that you are informed about the placement of cookies and only permit cookies in individual cases, accept cookies in certain cases or generally exclude them as well as activate automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website might be limited.

Cookies which are necessary in order to execute the electronic communication process or to make available certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are saved on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the storage of cookies for technically flawless and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are addressed separately in this Data Protection Declaration.

Server log files

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server query
  • IP address

This data is not conflated with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the technically-flawless presentation and the optimisation of its website – the server log files must be collected for this purpose.

Contact form

If you send queries to us via contact form, your details from the contact form, including the contact data entered there by you, are stored by us for the purpose of processing the query and in case of subsequent questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

The processing of the data given in the contact form is thus done exclusively on the basis of your consent (Article 6 paragraph 1 a of the GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal message by email to us is sufficient for this purpose. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which was done until the revocation.

The data supplied by you in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, you revoke your consent to the storage, or the purpose of the data storage ceases to apply (e.g. after your query has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – particularly storage periods – remain unaffected.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service “Google Analytics”. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files which are saved on your computer and which enable an analysis of your usage of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your usage of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the usage of these analysis tools are done on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the analysis of this user behaviour, in order to optimise its website offer and also its advertising.

IP anonymization

We have IP anonymization activated on this website. As a result, your IP address is abbreviated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contract states to the Treaty concerning the European Economic Area, before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to evaluate your usage of the website, in order to draw up reports about website activity and in order to render further services associated with the website usage and Internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the framework of Google Analytics is not consolidated with other data by Google.

Browser plug-in

You can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to inform you that in such case it is possible that you will not be able to use all of the functions of this website to the full extent. You can also prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and pertaining to your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of that data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection

You can prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is placed, which prevents collection of your data when visiting this website in future: Deactivate Google Analytics.

You will find more information about the treatment of user data by Google Analytics in Google's Data Protection Declaration: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order processing

We have entered into a contract with Google regarding order processing and fully implement the strict stipulations issued by the German data-protection authorities in connection with Google Analytics usage.

6. Plug-ins and tools

Google web fonts

This website uses so-called web fonts, which are made available by Google, in order to give a uniform presentation of fonts. When accessing a page, your browser downloads the required web fonts into its browser cache, in order to display text and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser used by you must connect to Google’s servers. As result of this, Google becomes aware that our website is being accessed via your IP address. Using Google web fonts is done in the interests of a uniform and appropriate presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a justified interest in the sense of Article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, your computer will use a standard font.
You will find further information about Google web fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's Data Protection Declaration: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Google Maps

This website uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

It is necessary to save your IP address in order to use the functions of Google Maps. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The operator of this website has no influence on that data transfer.

Google Maps is used in the interests of an appropriate presentation of our online offers and of finding easily the locations cited by us on our website. This constitutes a justified interest in the sense of Article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR.

You will find more information about the handling of user data in Google's Data Protection Declaration: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.
